Singapore Airshow 2008 is Asia's largest airshow organised by Singapore Airshow & Events Pte Ltd, a joint venture between Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) and Defence Science & Technology Agency (DSTA).

CAAS is a statutory board under the Ministry of Transport. It represents the government in the negotiation of air services agreements as well as advises on matters related to civil aviation. Besides ensuring smooth and efficient airport operations, it also regulates and promotes the development of air transport.

DSTA is a statutory board set up under the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF). It is responsible for implementing defence technology plans, managing defence research and development, acquiring defence material and developing defence infrastructure for MINDEF.
